Custom Storefronts recognized by JCCC Board of Trustees

Earlier this year, Custom Storefronts was honored to receive the SBA Exporter of the Year award for the Kansas City district. See ‘Olathe’s Custom Storefronts, Inc. Starts Small Exports Big‘. See also ‘Kansas City District Exporter of the Year ‘ (p. 29).

To honor the hard work and innovation demonstrated by Custom Storefronts, the Board of Trustees at Johnson County Community College invited Custom Storefronts to their June board meeting. Jon and Camille Roberts, the founders of Custom Storefronts, were present to accept this recognition.

With their guidance and leadership, the Kansas Small Business Development Center at JCCC has been instrumental in the success of Custom Storefronts. It was an honor that have them present for this occasion as well.

The Lakemary Center service project

Custom Storefronts joined Leadership Olathe in improving an outdoor, multipurpose space for Lakemary Center. The center provides services and opportunities for children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities to maximize the freedom and control they can bring to their own lives.

This service project provided a much-needed venue for picnics, recreation and other special gatherings. Custom Storefronts provided custom hand railing and signage for Lakemary’s new outdoor space. The CSI team is thankful for the opportunity to enrich the facilities of Lakemary’s fantastic organization.

STRATA Architecture + Preservation visits CSI

Custom Storefronts was excited to host the crew from Strata Architecture + Preservation. We love to show colleagues what we do here at CSI, especially when it inspires them in their own field.

See what they said in this excerpt from their blog:

‘Customization can be defined as, “modifying something to fit a particular individual or task…”

We love this concept and seem to deal with it on a daily basis in our work.

STRATA had the great fortune to meet with a company who also does this on a daily basis, Custom Storefronts Inc. Yesterday we had the opportunity to quiz them on what they do and how we can align with (and tweak) their process to replicate historic storefront details and millwork. Thank you, Jon and Ashley for your presentation and tour, and taking time to show us how traditional methods can blend with modern technology to make a truly unique product.’
